Woman History Month πŸ‘©πŸΎβ€πŸ¦±

In celebrating historical women all over the world we must not forget the fashionistas. We can’t let this month end without shining the light on some of the women who has and still are slayin the way in fashion for us beauties!

Let’s begin with some classics. These looks are still around today, and these women werrrrked these looks.

Dorothy Dandridge is serving us off the shoulder glam. This look is iconic, not to mention she is rockin that iconic hairstyle is the last photo at the bottom right. It’s an all around look!
Pam Grier is giving is 70 vibes, with a bit of skin. The slit will always make you feel grand. Pam is servin face as well, it’s something you can wear for different occasions without feeling like you’re “over dressed,” or that’s just me, you can never be over dressed in my eyes.

Eartha Kitt, let’s get to it! This mermaid dress is everything. It’s current, and it can be easily recreated. Ms. Kitt is definitely showin out in this dress, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Josephine Baker is glowing in this sequined gown. The fit is perfect and her headdress takes the cake!
Grace Jones is so absolutely stunning. I love all black attire because you have to really know how to work black garb for me to see the potential in it. Check out the sleeves, even the shaw is amazing.

Erykah Badu is one of my favorite because her fashion is effortless, yet so meaningful. This dress here is an amazing statement, and could be worn anytime if you ask me. Badu never disappoints when it comes to fashion.

Diana Ross, was an still is a fashion icon. Her figure was also outstanding, it made the clothes what they were. She exudes elegance and poise to any outfit she wears.

Naomi Campbell is one of the OGs of fashion. From runways to photo shoots, Naomi is always serving face and fashion.
Aaliyah is one of my faves because she exudes beauty, and her style was impeccable. The loose pants were always my favorite look on her because it gave her an edgy look on my opinion.

Forever My First Lady, Michelle Obama. One of the classiest and stylish Flotus’ of my time. As flotus she gave us shoulders in a lot of her dresses. I will say First Lady gave looks when Obama was in office, nothing like we’ve ever seen before.

Iman, another one of my favorite fashion models. She definitely has a great eye for fashion, and she serves face on a platter. This look is so “rich black woman”, (I make this reference when ever a black woman has on fur of any kind!). She’s definitely a vibe, this is me in the mirror after a shower, unbothered and extra af!

Solange is so out there when it comes to fashion. She’s not afraid of color, she’s not afraid to mix patterns. Her fashion makes statements and screams creativity. Gotta love Solange.
Lupita Nyong’o wears color well. She once wore a yellow dress, I think, or maybe I just imagined her in it, and it was like her skin and this dress were made for each other. After that Lupita became one of my favorites.
TK and Cipriana Quann can dress their butts off. Their hair is amazing, truly goals, I know people love saying that, but I’m for real. Any who, they mix patterns like no other, and I’m always checking out their shoes. Which in this photo you can see why, they always come through.
Gabrielle Union-Wade is another one of my faves that is not afraid to mix things up. This outfit that she has on in this photo is a dress down, and o love it because I’m all for a comfy cute look. Her other looks are killers, no lie, she does her thing. Whether it’s couture, red carpet, interviews, she works her looks.
Serena Williams doesn’t get enough credit when it comes to her fashions. She once wore sneakers with her dress, and I was like YEEEESSSS Serena girl! Cause I defy the odds like that as well. Also, Serena has the body that most women buy and she SERVES in them every time. Case in point the one above, and let’s not forget her cameo in BeyoncΓ©’s Lemonade video servin bawdy.
Kahlana Barfield is one of my absolute faves because she effortless with the fashion hands down. She works in fashion, so she’s hip to what’s in and what’s not. Her clothes y’all for her in my opinion, and she’s another one that has statement pieces on their wardrobe.
Kerry Washington very classy, yet sophisticated. I love her red carpet looks, and her looks on scandal are cute as well. She doesn’t dress bold, but she dresses elegantly, and the colors always complements her skin tone.
Issa Rae!!!! I’m so proud of Issa first off and second. Her outfits have progressed with her come ups, I love everything Issa wears because you can tell she puts thought into it. I’m a pants lover, so this outfit here is everything. She also once wore yellow and I said HELLO YELLO! I’m honestly telling you all that you need to get some yellow in your life. Go Issa!!!
June Ambrose dresses how ever she wants. But I looooooooove June because her personality matches her outfits. The big hats and long coats are everything. She sometimes dresses in layers, which is smart, but she always has the couture with her. It can be a scarf, purse, pair of shoes, June comes through with the fashion.
Rihanna is everyone’s fave. When it comes to fashion Rih Rih doesn’t disappoint. She’s not scared to show off nipple, leg, stomach, whatever. She does it in such a tasteful way that you just stare in awe. Everyone loves Rih for her unapologetic boldness.

Zendaya is super bold for this outfit. I love it because she wore this so well. Women can wear things that men cannot. I once saw a man trying to wear shorts and a blazer and it didn’t work out for him at all, but this is super cute on Zendaya.

Yara Shahidi is the truth of this generation. I love her sense of style on Grown-ish, and her red carpet looks. She definitely understands fashion and creating her own looks. For example, this look here is simple, yet little to no one would be able to rock this better than she would.
